Wondering that the best natural dish soap is? I’ve tried many different all natural dish soaps and the one that I have stuck with over the years, and use religiously, is Sal Suds by Dr. Bronner’s. I consider this THE best natural dish soap for several reasons which I will share with you in this post.
Why choose an all natural dish soap?
There are many reasons to choose an all natural, non toxic dish soap. Here’s a few reasons why I choose an all natural, non toxic dish soap for dishwashing:
- Avoid chemicals coming into contact with my skin
- Avoid adding chemicals into our waterways
- Avoid smelling chemicals while washing dishes with hot water
Why Sal Suds is THE best natural dish soap
As I said earlier, I love using this natural liquid dish soap to hand wash my dishes. There are a few reasons for this. Here’s why:
- This soap is very concentrated so I dilute it with water to make each bottle last a very long time
- Because this soap is concentrated, it is very inexpensive to use regularly
- This soap is unscented which I prefer because I am sensitive to fragrance
- This soap gets grime off of dishes very easily
- This bottle is the only product I need to buy to do my dishes
- This product is a plant based dishwashing liquid
- The bottle is recyclable
About Sal Suds natural dish cleaner
Dr. Bronner’s Sal Suds Liquid Cleaner is not a soap but instead is a concentrated hard-surface all-purpose cleaner. It is made with plant-based surfactants and natural fir needle and spruce essential oils (no cheap, harsh pine stump oil), without any synthetic dyes, fragrances or preservatives. Perfect for general household cleaning (dishes, floors, laundry, etc.), it cleans and rinses with exceptional power, yet it is mild and gentle on the skin. Sal Suds Liquid Cleaner is equally effective in hard or soft water, rinsing freely, hot or cold. It is 100% cruelty-free, as certified by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics, and it will biodegrade rapidly after doing its job. –drbronners.com

Dr Bronner’s Sal Suds uses
I use Sal Suds a variety of ways, not just for washing dishes. In addition to keeping a bottle of the diluted soap under my sink for dishwashing, I also keep a spray bottle of the diluted cleaner there as well for all-purpose cleaning. Here’s six ways I use this all-purpose cleaning product to clean my whole home:
- Kitchen counter cleaner
- Refrigerator cleaner
- Bathroom cleaner
- Floor cleaner
- Shower cleaner
- Toilet cleaner
Does Sal Suds get bubbly?
Some natural dish soaps do not get bubbly during lather. What I love about Sal Suds is that it does get super bubbly during lather which makes dish washing easier. This also helps with not using too much dish soap during each dishwashing.
