I shop every week at my local farmer’s market. They offer almost everything I need at a lower cost then purchasing from the grocery store. The produce at the market is always super fresh as well and lasts for quite a while in my refrigerator. I usually bring $40 cash and fill up my basket.
At the bottom of this post is a printable list you can print and store in your recipe binder for easy reference.
Here’s a list of the produce I purchase each week
I often purchase almost the same foods each week for several reasons:
- These foods are often the least expensive foods to buy
- What I buy are ingredients I want to feed my body
- I have some staple recipes that I can use these ingredients in
- I can maintain my food budget easily
